Teton Climbers: acclimatize at the ski resort!
We recommend 2 excellent ways to acclimatize for your Grand Teton climb. Try a free gondola ride to 9000', where you can then enjoy the bar or dinner at Couloir Restaurant. The gondola opens at 4:30 p.m. daily, closed Saturdays. A tram ride is more spendy, at $22 with a coupon, but you will get up to 10,400', closer to our high camp's 11,000' elevation.

1% For The Tetons
JHMG is a member of 1% for the Tetons, a locally based chapter of Yvon Chouinard's creation, 1% for the Planet. We have just allocated our 2010 donation to two deserving organizations. We are giving half to the Grand Teton National Park Foundation for Restoring Whitebark Pine, and half to the Teton Boulder Project.

Summer in the Tetons
JHMG is in full summer swing in the Tetons, Wind Rivers, and Beartooths. The snow is quickly disappearing, and the wildflowers are spectacular! We still have availability at Corbet High Camp, the launch spot for our Grand Teton climbs. With the calendar filling, it's best to give our office a call now to find out open dates for your climb.

Grand Teton Winter Ascent
Guide Nate Opp summitted the Grand Teton with Steve Trafton on March 19th. Steve was training for an upcoming climb in the Alaska Range on Mount Huntington later this spring with Opp; they climbed the Owen Spaulding route. The Grand has seen few ascents this year--congratulations to Nate and Steve!
