The focus of this 3 day/2 night mountain trek is to combine the beauty and serenity of the high mountains with the fundamentals of yoga and meditation. The spectacular views and the remoteness of our camp provide the perfect setting for you to relax, refresh, and recreate. This trip will be a balance of semi-strenuous activity, calming meditation, and healing yoga to round out a unique experience. Jackson Hole Mountain Guides will provide all of the tents, stoves, fuel, cooking equipment, water filters, medical and safety supplies, and food and drink for breakfast and dinner. Your hosts will prepare and serve all of the food and assist in setting up tents and organizing camp. Guide services and yoga instruction are included as well.
We will meet at Sunlight Sports at 5:00 pm on the evening before the trip departs to perform a quick gear check and divide up group provisions.
We will depart Cody at 7:00 am the following morning and drive to Red Lodge where we will enjoy a tasty, no host breakfast at Cafe Regis. From there we will travel on to Mystic Lake Trailhead located on the West Rosebud River. Once we arrive at the trailhead we will proceed to hike up the Mystic Lake trail to an established campsite at the far end of Mystic Lake. The hike is approximately 5 miles with moderate elevation gain and loss. Once we are settled into our camp we will do a session of stretching and regenerative yoga followed by a delicious and nutritious meal provided by your hosts.
The day will begin with hot drinks and meditation. After breakfast and a morning yoga session you will get to choose from a variety of activities like hiking, photography, fishing, swimming or just relaxing in camp. There will be an afternoon yoga session followed by dinner and an evening meditation.
Once again we will start the day with hot drinks and morning meditation. After breakfast we’ll enjoy a mid morning session of yoga along the shores of Mystic Lake followed by a dip in the lake for those who desire a brisk swim. A 5 mile hike from there will get us back to trailhead around 4:00 pm.
