About Eve Tallman
Eve has been climbing all over North America for more than 30 years and has to her credit a dozen ascents of Yosemite’s El Capitan, the first female solo of Zion’s Moonlight Buttress, summits on Orizaba and Rainier, and trips farther afield to Patagonia and Europe, where the Dolomites are her favorite area to explore.
She has taught wilderness leadership for women, serves on the board of the Western Colorado Climbers’ Coalition, worked a few seasons on Yosemite’s high-angle search & rescue team, and received the David Brower Conservation Award from the American Alpine Club. She makes her home in Moab, where she loves to climb and explore the canyons. She has summited more desert towers than any other woman (360+) and was featured in National Geographic magazine for a canyoneering exploration of Arizona’s Rainbow Plateau.
