Tracy has been an avid climber for 26+ years. She enjoys teaching, as well as sharing skills and experiences with other climbers, both newcomers and seasoned. She enjoys traditional climbing foremost, but loves clipping bolts every now and then. She believes the challenges and rewards climbing offers have enhanced her life with improved self confidence, appreciation for simplicity, and a desire for growth. Tracy is  a trainer for “The Warrior’s Way,” and often works as a rope access technician  serving non-profits. She has a BFA from UNC Greensboro, and runs a small business in Las Vegas as a graphic designer and pet portrait artist.

Testimonials

  • Guide Tracy Martin was fantastic. Knowledge of the routes and ability to quickly move through terrain from one climb to another was great. We got in more routes than I expected. Well worth the price to get a guide like her.

  • Tracy was incredible.  She listened and built a custom syllabus based on our experience as a couple and our objectives.   Cheryl and I couldn’t have imagined a better experience with fun climbing and technical skills combined.  We can’t wait to go out with Tracy again to advance our education after solidifying the skills she taught.  She was patient, positive, and had a great sense of humor.  Combined with her expertise, we couldn’t imagine a better learning environment.

  • Whenever you are in Las Vegas and got a day without any arrangements go arrange for a day in Red Rocks with JHMG’s. I have done this twice during business trips and it has been a great experience every time. Competent guides have made these my best days in Las Vegas.

  • We love JHMG – we have climbed with them twice already. We could not have done this without our wonderful guides who helped us with the reservations and logistics. On both occasions, we had a unique, both challenging and fun experience. More importantly, it was very safe. So worth it!

  • JHMG is awesome.  Their guides are knowledgeable and professional that make your climbing experience memorable and safe.

  • I was out on Las Vegas and wanted to do a multi-pitch climb that was just outside of my leading abilities, one where I could second the whole route. Once the route was select, I meet my guide at the climbing shop and we headed out. The  selected climb was perfect, just outside my abilities as I wanted, but not too difficult to shut me down. During the whole time the JHMG Guide was polite, encouraging, and made me feel safe the whole time. This climb was memorable and I can’t wait to return next fall and lead it myself. I really liked how I was treated more as a climber than just a business arrangement. The guide seemed to really enjoy being outside and climbing with me.

  • My experience climbing with Tracy at Red Rocks was amazing.   She  is safe, knowledgeable, and really fun to be with.  I would highly recommend a climbing trip to sunny Red Rocks with JHMG.  If you’re lucky, you’ll get to climb with Tracy!

  • Tracy Martin designed an awesome day of multi-pitch climbing in Red Rock Canyon. My objectives were to not only experience a multi-pitch climb in this terrain, but also refresh some skills learned in previous courses and guiding sessions. We climbed 3 mixed-gear routes ranging from 5.8 to 5.10a, with me leading the first pitch of the 10a. It was a great experience…I felt very safe the entire time, yet the type of rock and unique features posed the occasional challenge. It was a great confidence builder for my own climbing resume and experience/technical skill base. Furthermore, climbing with Tracy was like climbing with a best friend. She is friendly, has a great sense of humor, and is easy going. Yet, her climbing skills are top rate. I’ll definitely climb with her again.

  • Went climbing for the first time with friends and my 11 year old son. Had a blast. Mark and Tracy were awesome could not have the experience without them. Conquered some fears and really enjoyed the whole day.
JHMG is the best, get out there and try them.
