WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS…..

…also happens a little way outside of Vegas. Visits to Red Rock National Conservation Area have increased to the point it’s now one of the world’s most popular climbing spots. The draw is the combo of the area’s dry climate, climbing quality, easy access from the airport and a certain something extra that’s truly rare: The opportunity to come back down to earth after a killer climb and pretty quickly be at an awesome hotel. Quick shower and you’re rolling into restaurants, concerts, shows and all the usual Vegas nonsense that keeps people coming back.

It’s the best of several worlds, basically.

Your rental car speeds you the 20ish miles between McCarran International Airport and the town of Summerlin pretty quickly. Hotels popular with Red Rock NCA climbers include The Red Rock Casino and Resort and The Element Las Vegas, both in Summerlin. Should you want to skip the fluffy towels and full bars, there’s a cool camping scene nearby as well. The Bureau of Land Management oversees Red Rock NCA, for which you pay a $15 fee per day (it’s worth it).

As for the rock climbing, it does not get much better. Whether you are a warm sandstone neophite or a seasoned pro, our team of guides are waiting to show you everything that the Red Rock has to offer.   For answers to your questions or for helping plan your trip to the Red Rock, please CLICK HERE or CALL 307-733-4979
