About Eddie Horney

Eddie learned to ski on the 800 vertical feet of ice at Beech Mountain in North Caroline. In a part of the country more known for rock climbing than skiing, Eddie inevitably fell into rock climbing at the age of 20. Climbing took him across the country where he ultimately landed in Jackson in 1992, a place more known for skiing than rock climbing. Since then, Eddie has skied off more Teton summits that he won’t tell you about than anyone else in the valley. Despite having the Teton Range in his back yard, Eddie is also known for many first decsents from the Wind River Range to Alaska and Bolivia. Eddie lives in Victor ID with his wife and two girls.

  • This is our third trip here to backcountry ski.  We love our guide and always request him.  The experience each year is always different and amazing.  This is the perfect escape for a few executives and we are already planning next year’s trip.
