About Eddie Schoen

After passing through the Tetons on a summer road trip and completing a 36-hour mega link up now known as the Vermonstour: Open Book (5.9) > Snake River Brewery (5.6% abv) > Grand Teton (5.7) > Snake River Brewery (5.6% abv), Eddie’s heart was stolen by these majestic mountains.  Born and raised in the Midwest, but a Vermonter at heart, he now splits his time between Boulder, CO and Jackson, WY.

Eddie thrives on having fun and sharing big adventures in the mountains with his clients.  As a certified yoga teacher, he also brings a unique patience and awareness to his guiding.  After eight years working as a CPA and financial analyst, Eddie is now pursuing the highest level of training and certification available in the guiding industry through the AMGA/IFMGA.  You can find out more about Eddie and his journeys at www.kalamountainadventures.com

  • A perfect trip. The Grand really is amazing; and it was all made possible by our guide Brian [Warren], whose experience, patience and knowledge made it happen for us.

  • Always professional, always personable, always safe, always considerate. They take the time to develop a plan with the client that creates a fun and challenging experience; also, they provide valuable teaching moments along the way. I look forward to using their services again.

  • Awesome experience: great guide, fantastic routes, perfect location and nice weather. What more could you possibly wish for?

  • Climbing The Grand with JHMG was one of the most incredible experiences in my already rich life.  I came into the trip a bit apprehensive about the climbing and exposure, but the training and guides not only made me feel safe and confident, they also taught me skills to improve future climbing experiences.  I expected crazy beautiful views and fun times and you guys delivered both along with an unexpected level of service, coaching, and camaraderie.  Keep up the great work and we’ll see you on future climbing and mountaineering trips.
