About Kenny Gasch

Kenny has been a guide and director of our Cody office since 2005. A seasoned backcountry guide, he has spent most of his time working in the Beartooth and Wind River Mountains guiding the highest peaks in Montana and Wyoming. Kenny has also guided rock and ice climbers over the years as well as filling in as adjunct faculty at Northwest College in their Outdoor Program. In September 2018 Kenny moved to Whitefish , Montana where he opened a branch office as The Mountain Guides Montana. His focus will be avalanche education, backcountry travel and safety, and community service. An occasional visit back to Cody in the summer might just find him teaching rock climbing or guiding in the Beartooth Mountains of Montana once again

  • I have done two guided climbs (Montana and WY highpoints) with Kenny Gasch; I knew I was well cared for and kept safe in every way. The guides were fun and at the same time they really did a great job keeping us safe and informed. I would climb with Jackson Hole Mountain Guides anytime and plan to come back for a climb of the Grand Teton

  • Kenny was the best outdoor adventure guide we’ve ever had. He explained everything thoroughly and stressed safety throughout. He’s courteous, sincere, and flexible. An overall tremendous experience.

  • I just wanted to thank you for setting us up with such unbelievable guides.  They were absolutely solid, professional and fun to be around.  We couldn’t have had better, nor better results.  That climb of the Grand is something I’ll never forget.  I will be back to climb Mt. Moran next.
