About Jason Reese

Jason Reese was born in Carlsbad New Mexico, but grew up mostly in Plainview Texas. At the end of his bull riding career he was introduced to rock climbing in 2002. Immediately, Jason was hooked and his passion for vertical cracks guided his path to the most amazing rock climbing areas in the country. Jason landed in Moab into 2008 after escaping an Alaskan winter for a rock climbing vacation through the Southwest.

A Moab transplant he began his guiding career after settling on the Colorado Plateau. A man of many talents, Jason has worked as a river guide running all types of white watercraft down the Colorado River. After attending the AMGA rock instructor course in Joshua Tree National Monument. Jason’s dreams came true being hired as a canyoneering and climbing guide with Jackson Hole Mountain Guides. He is now able to share the cliffs and white water he loves with people coming to enjoy the Moab area.
